Savoury Steamy Eggs

Intro

In the kitchen an egg is the simple, easy and quick ingredient that elevates a dish. I usually make egg curry for lunch and make it a meal with rice and veggies. The richness of the yolk and silky white part of the egg delight me. It can be savoured at any meal of the day.

They add texture and flavour to a dish with its rich, savoury, salty nature. There's different approach to making an egg recipe in the world of culinary. There's boiling, frying and eating raw as well. You can play with the spices, condiments and simply amp up the meal in full with just one simple egg.

My recipe today is a quick savoury steamy eggs inspired by my fav Youtube chef Maangchi. I've been her follower since i fell in love with K-drama and K-pop, way back in 2013 and wanted to know the real culture and cuisine of maangchi unni.

Here's 3 quick, easy, homemade delicious egg recipe steps you can follow to make this savoury steamy eggs in an instant pot.

Ingredients

Prep

  1. Add 4 large eggs in 1 cup of water and whisk.

  2. Stir in 1/3 tsp Salt , 1/4 cup chopped onions, 1/4 cup chopped bell peppers.

  3. Add in a Splash of milk and 1/4 tsp turmeric for less the eggy smell.

  4. 1/2 tbsp Chilli powder or chilli flakes to get a kick with spice.

  5. Grease the steam safe bowls and pour the mixture in, leaving about a couple of inches on the top.

Time and Presets

  1. Place the bowl on the trivet stand in the Instant pot (Ip) and cover it with lid, do not pack it in.

  2. Set the Ip in manual for 15 mins at low pressure.



Savour at its best

  • While it's still hot Sprinkle with chilli flakes and scallions.

  • Season with soy sauce if desired at last.

  • Enjoy this steamy spicy eggs, for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
